Alice Jo Doerner

age 82 of Brooklyn Park, MN, passed away on February 12, 2023. Alice Jo graduated from New London High School and the University of Connecticut. She also earned two Master’s degrees, one from Southern Connecticut University and the University of Memphis. Books and reading were her joy, especially science fiction. This passion for books led to a career as a college librarian at LeMoyne-Owen College in Memphis. Alice Jo is survived by sons, Robert (Gina) Doerner, Steven (Gina) Doerner and Brian (Hope) Doerner; grandchildren, Nicholas, Sam, Riley, Emily and Eliot; sisters, Gay (Martin) Mullen and Joan (Michael) Cannamela; nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She is preceded in death by parents, Captain John USN and Mary Rezner.

Mass of Christian Burial 11 am Saturday, March 4, 2023, at Church of the Sacred Heart 4087 W. Bdwy Ave., Robbinsdale, MN 55422. Visitation 1 hr. prior to Mass at church, and 5-7 pm Friday, March 3, 2023, at Gearty-Delmore Funeral Chapels 3888 W. Bdwy Ave., Robbinsdale, MN 55422.
