Alessandra “Sandy” Britton
of Plymouth formerly of Chicago, IL passed away June 9, 2019. Sandy was a proud Magna cum laude graduate from Lake Forest College. She worked at United Airlines for over 20 years, was a lifelong lover of the arts, an artist, avid volunteer, fierce cub scout leader, gourmet cook, and world traveler who studied Shakespeare in England and Art in Italy. Above all she will be remembered as a loving mom and doting grandmother.
Preceded in death by parents, Evelyn and David Broude. She will be deeply missed by children, Jennifer Applebaum and partner Gary Lally, Robert John Becker, Jr. and wife Cris; grandchildren, David Applebaum, Emily, Elissa and Robert John Becker, III “Trey”; former husband and special friend, John Becker; foster daughter, Marianne Larner and many friends.
A Celebration of Sandy’s life will be held 11 am with visitation ½ hour prior Saturday, June 15 at Cherrywood Pointe of Plymouth 18405 Old Rockford Road, Plymouth 55446. Lunch to follow. Private interment in Chicago. In lieu of flowers memorials preferred to MNCAD or Lake Forest College, Lake Forest, IL.
