In 1956 he married his high school sweetheart, Faye Beth Francis. While at UMD he became a student minister serving churches in Cromwell, McGregor and Fleming, MN. He entered Garrett Theological Seminary to become a Methodist minister and served at the time in Wellington, IL and Kasson, MN. After Ordination he served Park Ave., Eden Prairie, Owatonna, Olivet (Robbinsdale) and Northeast UMC (Minneapolis), retiring in 1999.
Alden adored his grandchildren and treasured yearly weeks in the BWCA with his entire family. He started the Boy Scouts at Hammer Residences in Wayzata in 1970, a troop that still exists today.
He studied Spanish in Antigua, Guatemala for seven years to facilitate his numerous Mission trips to Honduras. He biked and canoed throughout his 70’s. Alden loved the Twins, Vikings and Gophers!
Preceded in death by parents, Uno and Laina Keiski; sister, Edith (Jim) Hakala.
Survived by wife of 61 yrs., Faye Beth (Francis); sons, Alden Wesley, Paul (Beth), David; daughter, JoElle (Jeffrey) Ramsey; grandchildren, Nathaniel (Kelly), Daniel (Marianna) and Maddie Ramsey, Emma and Joseph Keiski.
