Adwina F. Jackson Baptiste

Adwina Fredericka Jackson Baptiste, age 71, of Excelsior passed away May 20, 2020.

Adwina first worked as a banker at Freedom National Bank in New York, New York and then as an accountant at SunTrust Bank in Orlando, Florida. She then became an adjunct professor of English at Florida A & M University. She obtained her PhD in Education from Capella University. Before retiring, she substitute taught for Minneapolis Public Schools.

She is preceded in death by parents, Bruce Jackson and Vera Stephens; and brother, Basil Jackson.

Survived by children, Marjorie Cort, Anthony Melbourne, and Alicia (Tolu) Ayodele; grandchildren, Shauna, Crystal, Jacob, Daniel, Brandon, and Neya; sisters, Esmie Jackson and Mervy Jackson; and ex-husband, Arnold Baptiste.
