Lori Robin Hayes, age 63, born May 19, 1959 of Minneapolis, Minnesota, passed away peacefully in her sleep March 6th, 2023 in Plymouth, MN. Born to Marjorie Lou and Ervin Martell Hayes, she was preceded in death by both parents, and her Husband, Gregory Scott Hamilton.
She was survived by her daughter, Alysha Rochelle Hayes; her son Martel Scott Hayes; her daughter Jedia Unique Hayes. Many step-children, and grandchildren: Martel Hayes Jr, Brodie Hayes, Tayvian Davis, and C’Kajuh Hamilton. Sister, Sherri Hayes; Brothers, Don (Linda) Parks and Terry (Carol) Parks and many other loving step children friends and family members.
Lori loved deeply, and unconditionally. Whether it be a shoulder to cry on, an ear to listen or her voice to counsel, she was there. Always. Whenever you needed her she was there to help; if she didn’t have the means-she had the connections and the resources. She loved her family-the time spent together was treasured. Usually over a Sunday dinner-she loved to cook, and did it well. She would call her children and recite a full menu complete with dessert (carrot cake was a favorite) and the table was full of love and laughter.
Lori was devoted to the Lord and attended services regularly online, as she was unable to in-person.
She studied and read her Bible avidly, and many other things as she loved knowledge. Her laugh-infectious, you couldn’t help but smile. She loved to dance, and sing. She loved fast cars and good music.
I will remember her dressed to the nines, smelling better-than good, her red nails moving as she scribbles something down on a notepad during her phone calls in the mornings with that hot cup of coffee. Sun shining thru the window-surrounded by the people and things she loved. Green plants blooming on the window sill, her dog napping by her side while she checks her lipstick and tells it just like it is. She was genuine, one of a kind, there will never be another like her.
Lori loved truly and deeply. Each and every one of us, and she always will. Just as we will remember her fondly and forever.
