Lidwyna M. Peterson

Peterson, Lidwyna “Liddy” Marie Heinen Horejsi born May 18, 1924, (Farming, MN), passed away May 25, 2023, 99 years of age.

Preceded in death by her parents Michael and Theresia Heinen, eight siblings, husband Joseph Horejsi, husband Glenn Peterson, daughters Christine Carpentier and Janet Horejsi, sons-in-law Dan Carpentier and Tom Popp.

Survived by sons Jimi Horejsi, Tom Horejsi (Cathie), daughters Nancy Collins (Steve), Patricia Horejsi and Jeanne Popp, 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Liddy was a beloved wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend.  She was an avid dancer, swimmer, gardener, traveler, crafter, member of the Medicine Lake Community Club (the Sunshine Lady).  She enjoyed spending time with her family.

She was an active member of her church, head of the Altar Society at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and involved in numerous other events at St. Joe’s.  She was a volunteer (15 years at St Therese).

She will be deeply missed by all those that knew her, loved her and cared for her.  Mass of Christian Burial 11 AM Saturday, June 3 at St. Joseph Parish Center, 8701 36th Ave N., New Hope.

Visitation one hour before Mass.  Interment Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.
