LaVerne Ellen Howe

LaVerne Ellen Howe, age 79 of Plymouth.  Born 3/21/1944 in St. Cloud to William Jr. and Irene (Kuhn) Howe and passed away 11/7/23.  LaVerne spent her early years in Foley, MN before moving to Mpls.  She was a humble and generous person who was always concerned about others.  She volunteered her time at St. Joseph’s Home for Children and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.  LaVerne spent most of her life working in the insurance industry most recently as an Account Executive.  She will be deeply missed.

LaVerne is preceded in death by beloved husband, Jim Maxwell; parents, William Jr. and Irene; sister, Joan Stay and infant sisters, Katherine and Patricia.  She is survived by her brother, Robert Howe; brother-in-law, Edward Stay; nieces, Sharon (Dennis) Narog, Linda (Chris) Bertram, Mary Joan Sweeney, Missy Almen and Angela Stay; step-daughters, Terry Cody, Sandy (Steve) Westfall, Cindy Hogan, Denise (Chad Spillers) Maxwell and Ann (Christa) Maxwell; numerous other family and friends.

Mass of Christian Burial Thursday (11/16), 10:30 AM with visitation starting at 9:30 AM at the Church of St. Mary of the Lake, 105 No. Forestview Lane, Plymouth with luncheon to follow.  Interment Ft. Snelling.
